AI Resume Review is a browser-based resume builder for people who need a finished file today. You import the resume you already have or type a new one, ask for a rewrite, read the score, and export a PDF. There is no account and no download fee.

How the resume score is calculated

The score is deterministic, not a model output, and it runs in your browser. Every draft starts at 72 and moves from there. Publishing the rules matters more than the number, because a score you cannot audit is just a nudge with a percentage sign attached.

• No email and no phone: minus 12, because a recruiter cannot act on the document.
• Summary under 40 characters: minus 8. Over 320 characters: minus 4.
• Fewer than two experience bullets: minus 10.
• Bullets present but none containing a number: no bonus awarded.
• No skills listed: minus 6.
• Each filler phrase found, from a fixed list: minus 4.

Positions missing dates are flagged without a deduction, since a date can be genuinely unknown. The result is clamped to a 0–100 range. It measures whether a draft is finished, and it does not predict whether anyone will call you back.

How the AI rewrite is constrained

The prompt bans the tics that make AI-written resumes easy to spot: "results-driven professional", "proven track record", stacked adjectives, and impact claims with no number attached. It tightens wording and will not invent achievements. If a bullet has no metric, the rewrite does not conjure one, because a fabricated number in an interview is worse than a modest true one on paper.

The model receives your prose with contact details, employers, and schools stripped out in the browser. It is told to preserve the number of bullets and their order, and the server discards any response that changes the shape. When the rewrite API is unavailable, a local rule-based pass applies a narrower version of the same style rules and the interface says which one ran.

Why drafts are session-only

A resume is a dense bundle of personal data: employment history, location, sometimes salary hints. Drafts live in browser session storage rather than an account database, because data we never hold cannot be leaked, sold, or subpoenaed. The cost is real and worth stating plainly. Close the tab and the draft is gone, so export early.

What this tool will not do

It does not guarantee interviews, and it is not a placement service. It will not tell you that your resume has a percentage chance of passing a specific employer's system, because that number cannot be known from outside that employer. It does not offer designed multi-column templates, since those are the main cause of parsing failures described on the ATS checker page.

Nothing is for sale here at launch. If that changes, it will be disclosed on this page and on the free builder page rather than introduced at the download step.
